Republic Nashville artist Eli Young Band kicks the year off in style with a performance this evening (1/ 9) on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. Just last week, USA TODAY named Eli Young Band the “On The Verge” artist of the week, spotlighting their recent successes and ventures into the national spotlight.
EYB ended 2011 with a media blitz that included performances on Late Show With David Letterman, American Country Awards (FOX) and an encore performance on the FOX Special American Country New Years Eve Live.
Their single “Crazy Girl” has been certified PLATINUM by the RIAA for sales of over 1 million downloads and was named Billboard’s #1 Country Song Of The Year. The video for the runaway hit has tracked over 8.5 million views on YouTube alone. “Crazy Girl” may have been the biggest country song of 2011….but it continues to grow in popularity in 2012. The single turned in its highest sales number to date selling over 52,000 copies last week alone.
Their new single “Even If It Breaks Your Heart” goes for adds January 23 and was highlighted by USA TODAY on their Playlist as One of their Top 10 tracks of the week.
