Brantley Gilbert’s original 2009 debut album A MODERN DAY PRODIGAL SON was re-released Tuesday on The Valory Music Co. and has already ascended to the #1 spot on the iTunes Country Albums Chart.
A MODERN DAY PRODIGAL SON was originally released independently by Brantley in September 2009. Brantley joined The Valory Music Co. in February 2011. The album re-released by Valory is the original catalogue version.
The album features some of Brantley’s finest songwriting to date, including “My Kinda Party”-- a song solely written by Brantley at the age of 19 that became a #1 hit for Jason Aldean.
A MODERN DAY PRODIGAL SON is truly where Brantley’s story begins. That story continues on his sophomore album HALFWAY TO HEAVEN DELUXE which was released in September 2011 (Valory Music Co.).
“I’ve been hearing from my fans all across the country that they wanted access to my first album and that’s exactly what we have given them. For the album to be over two years old and get this much of a reaction is very special for me,” said Brantley upon hearing about the album’s success at iTunes.
Like HALFWAY TO HEAVEN DELUXE, A MODERN DAY PRODIGAL SON is available in-store and online.
