“Thanks to Country radio and our fans for loving this song,” said Rascal Flatts lead vocalist Gary LeVox. “You guys never cease to amaze us!”

“Banjo”— along with the entire CHANGED album— has received rave reviews from some of the most revered music critics at the Associated Press, New York Times, NPR and USA Today.

The accompanying music video for “Banjo” garnered Rascal Flatts a 2012 CMT Music Award nomination for Group of the Year. The CMT Music Awards air LIVE on Wednesday, June 6 and fan voting is available now through June 4 at www.cmt.com.

Edens Edge Unveil Cover for Self-Titled Debut Album, Slated for June 12 Release

    April 4, 2012 0 Comments

Hot newcomers, Edens Edge, will release their Big Machine Records self-titled, debut album on June 12. Comprised of Hannah Blaylock (lead vocalist), Dean Berner(harmony vocals, guitar, dobro) and Cherrill Green (harmony vocals, mandolin, banjo and guitar),Edens Edge possess a unique musical blend deeply rooted in Country music, acoustic instrumentation and pure vocal harmonies. The trio has been in the studio perfecting their rootsy signature style, which is evident on their Top 20 debut single, “Amen,” as well as the sassy follow-up, “Too Good To Be True.” Award-winning producers Mark Bright and Dann Huff have each produced tracks for the project.

“For years we played music in our hometowns so it’s been thrilling to do what we love on a broader scale, traveling across the country. And now, to release our first album and share our music with so many new fans and our friends at radio is just ‘too good to be true!’” exclaimed Blaylock.

“Since releasing our digital EP last year, we’ve been looking forward to this next step and it’s finally here! We couldn’t have predicted the success we’d have with our first single, ‘Amen,’ and hope that our fans fall in love with the new songs, just as we did writing and recording them,” continued Green.

If labelmates Taylor Swift and Rascal Flatts’ accomplishments after signing with the label has been any indication, the group is poised to follow that success. This summer, Edens Edge will open for Flatts’ CHANGED TOUR, which begins in Hartford, CT on June 15. While last year, they were chosen to open three major Country tours – Brad Paisley's H2O II: Wetter and Wilder World Tour, Reba’s All the Women I Am Tour, and Lady Antebellum’s Own The Night Tour.

“Edens Edge has been together for several years, but we know we’re still newbies, so it’s really humbling to have been invited on some amazing tours! We can’t thank Flatts, Reba, Brad or Lady A enough for allowing us to open up their shows and play for their fans. Let summer begin!” said Berner.

The Arkansas-bred trio grew up about an hour from each other but wasn’t introduced by mutual friends until early adulthood. They began performing together and entered the 2006 NSAI Song Contest, where iconic songwriter Kye Fleming discovered them and encouraged a move to Nashville to pursue their musical careers. It was during their 2009 performance at Fleming’s induction ceremony into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame where Big Machine Label Group President & CEO Scott Borchetta took notice and quickly signed Edens Edge. Since, they have been profiled as one of Billboard’s “Artists to Watch” and were selected as a CMT LISTEN UP! Artist.
